Solare Hotels & Resorts Co. Ltd (Solare) is the first accommodation group in Japan to display room rates and availability online in real time.
BRISBANE, Australia, Aug. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Solare, who operates, franchises and asset-manages some 12,600 rooms throughout Japan, including core Chisun brand hotels, Loisir brand hotels and the Okinawa Marriott Resort & Spa, is one of Asia's fastest growing and most diversified hotel and resort chains.
Jack Tan, Chief Strategic Marketing and Technology Officer for Solare, believes the real time display of rates and availability will streamline the traveler's experience and also generate additional incremental revenue for the group.
The functionality, which has become available through Solare's partnership with CRS Provider, Trust International, allows inbound travelers to see property rates as they change in real time via Google Maps and Google Places.
The system offers an easy to use interface for travelers that only require the entry of arrival and departure dates to display the best prices and availability for Solare's extensive portfolio of accommodation offerings within Japan.
Mr. Tan says, "We are proud to be the first hotel group in Japan to provide this new technology for our clients and also to be a continued innovator within our field of hospitality."
Solare, who has remained at the cutting edge of technical innovation in Japan for many years and was amongst the first to introduce global standardized financial reporting systems and revenue management techniques appreciates the need to maximise outcomes.
The addition of real time rate and availability access is not only a win for travelers to Japan, but also strengthens brand exposure for Solare, whilst driving increased bookings and ultimately profit for its operators.
It is a further technical innovation in the history of Solare, whose groundbreaking integration of its information technology and marketing operational roles has positioned the group as a leader within the industry.
"Solare has a unique and yet highly evolved approach to operational integration," says Mr. Tan.
It is an enviable strategy that has allowed the group to remain at the forefront of a rapidly changing global accommodation landscape, and to not only survive, but expand as a nation-wide brand within its own right.
"Our business model is highly flexible and with the growing and diversified range of online marketing and distribution channels flooding the market, we are well equipped to move with, and where necessary, ahead of the times and to generate maximum returns for Solare, its customers and our business partners."
