HONG KONG, Sept. 21 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- With the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Show at AsiaWorld Expo officially opened, EGL Asia launched its EGL Challenge inviting visitors to take a turn on a Formula 1 racing car simulator which quickly drew crowds to its booth AWE-7S27/30.

EGL Asia CEO Joseph Kuzi signaled the start of the EGL Challenge at 11:20am, officially marking the participation of the Asia arm of leading international gemological laboratory EGL at the gem show.

Unveiling the world's original F1 show car simulator, Mr Kuzi remarked: "We built our booth around the Formula 1 THEME not only to create some fun for visitors and guests, but also to convey a very serious message - EGL Asia's commitment to be fast and accurate lab work."

The simulator promises players a rare, real-track F1 racing experience, thanks to a sizzling combination of the latest hardware and software knowhow: 50-inch studio-plasmas enable crystal-clear HD pictures, replete with surround-sound, body-shakers and force-feedback-technology that together guarantee an exciting and realistic race feeling. And stay buckled up - the racing won't stop till the gem show wraps up on September 25.

But don't drain all your adrenalin at the races: EGL Asia officially celebrates its first year of operation on September 22 at a cocktail reception at Renaissance Harbour View Hotel - where the Permanent Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development (Commerce, Industry and Tourism), Yvonne Choi Ying-Pik, will be in attendance.
